Why ProductVault

The details matter when life changes.

Product research should not end when the order arrives. Keep a clear, private record that helps you handle the ordinary moments and the harder ones with less searching.

01

Know where you stand on warranties

When something stops working, you want the purchase date, retailer and warranty expiry to hand. Keep those details with the item so you can check them when you need support.

02

Be ready for an insurance conversation

If something is lost, damaged or stolen, remembering the exact model and serial number can be hard. Keep an inventory ready to refer to when you speak with your insurer.

03

A clearer record for difficult decisions

During a separation or divorce, listing belongings is one practical job you can prepare for. Bring item and purchase details together as a starting point for property-division discussions.

04

Give your products their next life

When it is time to sell second-hand, knowing the model, age and condition helps you describe an item accurately. Build that record now so you are not searching for the details later.

How it works

Build a record in a few useful steps.

ProductVault works for catalogue products and the things ProductFinda does not list yet.

1

Add the item

Choose a catalogue product or start with an uncatalogued possession. Each physical item gets its own record.

2

Record what matters

Capture purchase date, amount and currency, retailer, serial number, warranty dates, condition and private notes.

3

Return when needed

Open the item, connected product evidence and optional updates later, or export selected items and fields as a private data file.

Questions

ProductVault, plainly.

Is ProductVault free?

ProductVault is free to use. There is no subscription and no payment required; you only need a free ProductFinda account.

What can I record?

You can record purchase date, amount and currency, retailer, serial number, warranty dates, condition, status and private notes for each physical item.

Does an item have to match the catalogue?

No. Link a catalogue product when there is a match, or record an uncatalogued possession yourself.

Is my inventory proof of ownership?

It is a useful private record for warranty, insurance, separation or resale preparation. It is not proof of ownership, a professional valuation or a guarantee that an insurer will accept a claim.

Can I upload photos or receipts?

Photo and receipt attachments are coming later. You can already save purchase details and private notes.
